Today, at the Oceans for All foundation, we potted our seagrass seeds after they had spent 30 days at the Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort<\/span><\/a> nursery. We buried our young plants up to the neck (Where the first or second leaf starts on the stem) in the mud.<\/div>\n
Deep burial is a must to keep the young seagrasses from being washed away by the water.<\/div>\n
We also took the opportunity to check on our last seagrass planting at @pullmanphuketpanwa. They’re doing well! we have now growing evidence that successful seagrass restoration will result in such ecological improvements \"\ud83d\ude09\"<\/span><\/div>\n
Blue carbon of seagrass meadows is an opportunity for tackling climate change.<\/div>\n
Sea grass can absorb up to 35 times more Co2 than any plant or tree.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
