Oceans For All Shares Sustainable Finance Insights at Sorbonne Paris Nord

Once again, Oceans For All had the pleasure of returning to Université Sorbonne Paris Nord to meet this year’s new students of the Master DEFIS – Sustainable Finance programme.

During the conference, our President and Founder, David Martin, shared his field experience and explored with the students how sustainable finance can become a powerful driver for positive environmental change.

From industrial fishing and plastic pollution to ocean conservation, we discussed how financial decisions, investment strategies and responsible business practices can directly influence the future of our planet and our oceans.

The discussion also focused on the importance of protecting marine ecosystems, the crucial role played by sharks and other apex predators in maintaining their balance, and why preserving biodiversity must be considered an essential part of building a truly sustainable economy.

At Oceans For All, we strongly believe that protecting our oceans requires not only conservation in the field, but also education, responsible economic choices and a new generation of decision-makers who understand the environmental consequences of the decisions they make.

A big thank you to the Master DEFIS students for their interest, questions and great discussions, and to Joël Oudinet and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord for welcoming us once again.
